Hey all,

I just wanted to come here and comment on a few things on behalf of Cyan Worlds, Inc. But first off I wanted to say it’s amazing to see what you are doing. Keep trying new things and being creative.

With that said, I'd like to try to nip something in the bud.

Cyan continues to hold out hope for Uru. We hope you guys are all with us in that. The problem is that by using Uru intellectual property (including Age names, characters, textures, models, etc.) you kind of put us in a position where we have to be the bad guy. If we don't protect our copyrights and trademarks, we may have all kinds of issues down the road - both legally and story-wise.

So it would be great if you guys could keep your creative endeavors on the original side of things - i.e. make your ages from scratch using your own wonderful imaginations. That will allow us to maintain the continuity and copyrights for Uru, if we ever get a chance to.

Remember - we named it "Until Uru" for a reason.

Hope you guys see this as encouraging rather than discouraging.

Sinngemäß geht es darum, das wir nicht den Content von Uru für unsere eigenen Weltenkreationen nutzen dürfen, weil diese urheberrechtlich geschützt sind. Diese betrifft alle vorhandenen von Cyan erschaffenen Welten, Charaktere und sonstiges Ingamematerial. Die Welten dürfen auch keine Namen des offiziellen D´ni Universums haben.

Aber, Grey Dragon postete später noch zweimal und schrieb unter anderem das er sich freut unsere eigenen erschaffenen Welten zu sehen! :wink: Nur sollen sie halt wirklich unsere eigenen Welten sein!!!

Nochmal aber ... vielmehr freut es mich, das Uru nun doch noch nicht tot ist, sondern irgendwann, bei ausreichenden Möglichkeiten, wieder zum Leben erweckt wird.
Na wenn das kein Grund zur Freude, vorerst zur Hoffnung ist?

(Anmerkung: Das ist eine Zusammenfassung aus meiner Sichtweise!)

EDIT: Es geht in erste Linie um die Erschaffung eigener spielbarer 3D Welten => Link
Nur um Mißverständnissen vorzubeugen.

Ich poste das mal hier rein, weil ich 1) kein neues Thema deswegen aufmachen möchte und 2) es nicht so wichtig ist, das es einen Thread füllt.

Bill Slease (ehemaliger Cyan Worlds Mitarbeiter ... Produktionsleiter von Uru (Myst V und realMYST) => Info: http://www.gigagiggles.com/about.php) hat wie es scheint wieder Arbeit gefunden, bei einer Firma die sich ebenfalls mit MMORPG Games beschäftigt.
Das hat jetzt aber nicht zwangsläufig was mit Myst oder Uru zu tun. :wink:
